Is a Friday or any national holiday considered a weekend or a weekday?

According to the NSR booking calendar,  Friday and any national holiday is considered a weekend.

Do I need insurance?

  • Slingshot insurance is required and provided

  • You are required to purchase state mandated minimum liability insurance from our insurance provider, MBA Insurance. The cost for this is $15.00 per day and is not included in the rental rate. This insurance is mandatory and must be purchased by the customer prior to taking custody of the Slingshot.

  • The policy covers liability coverage for bodily injury $30,000/ $60,000 and property damage $10,000 to third parties. The deductible on the policy is $250. The renter is responsible for all damage costs up to the $250 insurance deductible.

  • You are responsible for all damage or loss you cause to the Vehicle and to others. Any insurance we are required to provide is excess to any other valid and collectible insurance whether primary, secondary, excess or contingent. The Policy contains exclusions, conditions, and limitations applicable to anyone claiming coverage.

                           RENTAL INSURANCE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Rental Insurance may be purchased within 7 days of your reserved pick-up date, no sooner. Coverage is for 24-hrs and costs $15.

  • After completing your online booking, we will e-mail you our MBA Insurance policy number. Next, you'll follow these steps: 

  • Go to www.MBAmotorcycle.com 

  • Enter our policy number: 202590

  • Select Yes, Nikki Slingshot Rentals LLC, is my Rental Operator

  • Select the pick-up date to begin coverage and pick up time

  • Select the drop-off date (Insurance is only good for a 24-hr span)

  • Select if you’d like to purchase supplemental liability insurance (SLI) or Personal Accident Insurance PAI/PEI (Motorcycle & Slingshots only)

  • *SLI increases your liability up to $300,000 and property damage up to $10,000. This is for damage you, the renter,  could potentially cause to someone else or their property.

  • Enter your personal information

  • Select "I accept the terms and conditions"

  • Enter payment details

  • Select Purchase 

  • An email will be automatically sent to you and to us immediately after purchase. 

What is the cancellation policy?

  • A reservation may be cancelled up to 15 or more days prior to the pick-up date with no charge. 25% of the total booking will be applied towards cancellation fee if the booking is cancelled between 15 - 6 days from the pick-up time. 50% of the booking will be applied towards cancellation fee if the booking is cancelled within 5 days from pickup time or if the customer does not show up within an hour.

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be issued back to the credit card that was used to book a reservation minus $50 for booking fee or in a form of a store credit that can be redeemed within 1 year from the date it was issued.

  • There are no refunds for undesirable weather but we will reschedule you and make certain your new reservation is first in queue. 48 Hours advance notice is required to request for a booking to be moved to a different date. This is limited to availability and excludes major holidays and events.

What if I am late?

  • Please call when you are running late however, if the vehicle is not returned at the agreed upon time, the renter will be charged an additional $1.00 per minute that you return the vehicle late which will be taken from security deposit. 

  • Renter will be allowed a 15 minutes grace period before the late fee is put into effect.  Please remember that there is usually another renter that is picking up shortly after you return.

Do you all offer helmets and eye protection?

  • No we do not but you are more than welcome to bring some for your safety. However protective eyewear is a must!

Which payment methods do you accept?

  • We accept the following major credit cards:

  • MasterCard, Visa, Discover and PayPal

  • We do not accept any form of Check.

What if a holiday falls on a Weekday?

  • If a holiday falls on a weekday. This is considered a weekend rental rate. 

Do you offer gift cards?

  • We do not offer gift cards at this time but we are accepting referrals and are giving 10% off referral fee to use at a later date.

What if I need a few hours after 11pm?

  • The earliest you can rent the slingshot is 7am and the latest is 11pm. This is considered one day. However if you need it for a few extra hours please let us know so we can discuss pricing.

Can I reserve slingshot on the same day?

  • Please book at least 24 hours in advance. Same day bookings are not recommended. If weather is an issue the day of your rental please call or text us at least 1 hour prior to rental time to reschedule.

What is your policy for damaged products?

  • Sign liability/waiver-You are responsible for any damage during your rental!  There is a 2,500 deductible on the insurance you purchase.  If you damage the Slingshot during your rental this is your responsibility.

Do I need a motorcycle license?

  • No, a motorcycle license is not required. 

Reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission for guests

There are two main routes of transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19: respiratory and contact. These enhanced cleaning and disinfection guidelines focus on minimizing transmission through contact, specifically on frequently touched automotive surfaces such as keys, exterior door handles, trunk latches, and vehicle interiors. While it is not currently known with certainty how long the coronavirus survives on surfaces, a recent study published by the National Institutes of Health suggests that SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus that causes COVID-19) can last up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. Therefore, to reduce transmission, We at Nikki Slingshot Rentals find it is vitally important that all frequently touched vehicle surfaces be properly cleaned and disinfected before and between trips.

When I book online what is the next step?

After booking online or through the invoice, you will received a confirmation email or text with further insurance information.
